Hand Painted Nippon Bon Bon/Side Service Dish, Floral Pattern, Blue Rising Sun Backstamp, circa 1910-20s
From the land of the rising sun, this beautiful hand painted dish is trimmed in the palest of Robin's egg blue and features wild roses tinted from deep magenta to the most delicate pink. Foliage in various shades of green give depth to the pattern and add natural accents. The gently curved and sloping sides of this 6 1/4" x 7" gold-trimmed dish are gracefully formed into a lovely scalloped rectangle. Handles are formed into a one-piece construction. Marked with an authentic blue rising sun backstamp (very faint but authenticated), most likely a forerunner of Noritake. A gorgeous addition to your Nippon, porcelain or table accessory collection.
