Antique Sitting Infinite Wisdom Buddha Statue with Gold Gilt Wash
This antique Buddha statue has a lovely gold gilt wash finish. This statue signifies the Enlightened One, the basic idol of Buddhism. The Buddha statue represents overcoming suffering. Escape from this suffering is only possible through constant cycles of doing good deeds, and striving for self perfection, which is unattainable.
Originates from an estate in Winnetka, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. Please see all the pictures.
CONDITION: very good condition. Has metal loops on the back for hanging but there is no additional hardware. Sits on a flat surface just fine.
SIZE: 6 1/2" high by 4" wide at the base.
