Old Crock Beater Jar with Advertising – Stoneware Crock Fox Lake Wisconsin

This great old beater jar is an excellent example of early advertising. There are two brown stripes that go around the jar. The base is a light cream color. The glaze is shiny and the advertising is clear.

Originally used to 'beat' or mix ingredients (like homemade mayonnaise) hence the name beater jar...you can still use it that way, but they also make great utensil holders.

The beater jar advertising reads: Compliments of Village View Dairy in Fox Lake, Wisconsin. Herb Owens, Prop.

SIZE: It measures 5" high by 4 3/4" across at the top.

CONDITION: It is in excellent condition with a bright finish and clear lettering. The inside of the crock has a manufacturing flaw in the base edge but it is not a crack. No chips anywhere.
