Molded glass beads, filigree beads and roundel spacer beads make up this lovely set. These memory wire bracelets are very versatile because they fit almost everyone.
Frequently, Hobe did not sign this type of wrap bracelet. If it was originally sold as a set, the earrings would have been marked, and the necklace findings would have been marked also.
ERA: ca. 1950-1960's.
CONDITION: excellent pre-owned condition. Nice and clean with secure snug memory wire, and strong earring clips.
SIZE: Bracelet is one size fits all. It is a wire spiral, or memory wire, that is 1 ½" wide with a glass bead dangling from that. Earrings are 1-1/2".
HISTORY: The company was founded by Jacques Hobe, in 1883 in France. After WW-ll William Hobe', the son, moved the company to the U.S.A. In California he made jewelry for the Ziegfeld Follies, and catered to the Hollywood crowd. Hobe jewelry is still being made, but has nothing to do with the original family. Hobe provided jewelry to high end department stores and expensive boutiques. It was the "darling" of Hollywood starlets in the 50's. .
