Steuben Iridescent Verre de Soie Salt Cellar

Verre de Soie Steuben Glass Works Iridescent Open Salt. Shape #3067. Circa 1910.

This iridescent Steuben salt was one of the first in my collection. I'm reluctantly parting with it for someone else to enjoy. This will make a great addition to your art glass, salt, or Steuben collection. It measures 1 5/8" high, 2 3/8 wide at the rim. The overall condition is excellent. There are two small superficial scratches on the bottom consistent with age and normal wear. No chips cracks or repairs

Verre de Soie is an iridized finish on transparent colorless glass. Verre de Soie means "Glass of Silk" in French. Verre de Soie has a delicate overall feel to it with no mold lines or seams. The finish on Verre de Soie has hints of various colors including yellows, pinks, blues and greens.
