Today I am selling a delicate amethyst purple glass cab rhodium plated brooch. It is rectangular in shape with vertical lines creating a filigree front decorated with curving leaves and flowers. The main stone is a narrow baguette bezel set in the middle with two faceted round rhinestones on either end, all amethyst glass. There is a partially stamped 'R' on the clasp, which is an early version of the safety clasp. The pin is tight and stays closed securely.
Condition: Very good to excellent. No damage to the stones that I can see, although the one on the right side seems slightly cloudy. Very light wear to the silver toned metal, mostly around the middle setting.
Circa: 1920s to 1930s
Measurements: a little over 1 1/2 inches long and about 3/4 of an inch wide
Item ID: V313
