This unusual Chinese celadon ewer dates to around 1970. It stands 5 3/4" tall and 4 1/2" wide. It is copied in honor of a Yaozhou Kiln piece from the Song Dynasty currently on display at the Shaanxi Museum of History. Water placed in the bottom is trapped and does not spill out. It is quite an interesting and beautiful piece.
