Vintage to Antique Italian Murano art glass casket, Red Orange with Gold flecks

An absolutely beautiful red/orange with gold flecks throughout, casket or box believed to be made by Salviati, Murano, Italy. The Salviati family have been in the glass art business from the time Antonio Salviati started it in 1859. They are a well respected and expert glass makers to this day. The artists have impeccable workmanship and the designs are fabulous. This elegant red/orange trinket box is a wonderful piece from around 1940-1950. Surely will make a statement in any room decor. The glass is thick and solid, exterior is a bright red/orange color, while interior layered with solid white. The red/orange color generously flecked with gold. The box set into ormolu mounts with elegantly scalloped inside edge, has hinged lid, hinge works properly. It stands on 4 paw feet 3 1/2" high; 4" x 3" rectangular. This item is in excellent condition - no chips or cracks, very little age wear, otherwise perfect.
