From my own Collection this is a truly beautiful Victorian Sterling Silver Aesthetic Era Etched Bracelet with an etched Heart-shaped Padlock clasp. It consists of small panels, each with a unique etched design typical of the Aesthetic Era at the end of the 19th Century, showing less formal floral motifs with a Japanese influence. Each 7/8 inch long panel has rose gold overlay highlights defining the design and pattern. The heart shaped padlock clasp has a matching etched design but is slightly different in that it has a yellow gold highlight rather than rose gold. So there is a chance that it is not original to the bracelet, but the difference is very minor, and the padlock clasp certainly fits perfectly with the bracelet. The bracelet is unmarked but confirmed as Sterling Silver from acid testing by my jeweller, with applied gold overlay highlights (genuine gold but pieces too small to determine what carat). It is all in excellent condition, which is a rare find these days! It comfortably fits my medium to large wrist and measures 7 inches around its internal circumference, when closed. The heart padlock works well, and I had the safety chain added (very sympathetically) as extra security against loss. The heart padlock has a total length of 1.25 inches. There is no damage - no holes, splits, repairs etc. All decorative 'bobbles', are present and are not crushed or damaged in any way - a great find! Summary - all components are present and correct. A couple of the panels show the slightest of compression where they have been held when putting on the bracelet, but this is only mentioned for 100% accuracy. Total weight is just over 20.8 grams. The bracelet sits elegantly flat, showing off its lovely panels, and is very comfortable when worn. More photos are available on request, if desired.
