For sale is a hard to find blue and white earthenware Pratt Ware vase.
The vase is of an ovoid bottle shape with a flared rim and is decorated in the Pratt Ware blue and white Italian transfer pattern. This pattern depicts an Italianate village in a setting of mountains, a lake with fishermen and a rural scene. The base of the vase carries a transfer printed backstamp identical to one found on the base of a vase by F R Pratt held at the English National Trust property Attingham Park, Shropshire (National Trust Inventory Number 607662.1) dating to approximately 1840. The vase we have for sale most probably dates to a later period, somewhere around 1890-1920.
The vase is approximately 6 &1/2 inches high (16.5cm) and is in a very good antique condition other than a little bit of very light age related crazing and a some light rubbing related wear to the pattern of the rim.
