Estate Art Deco Diamond Platinum Ring, 1.85 TCW, 1920s, Size 5 ¾

I have never seen anything like this gorgeous deco design before. With its striking central diamond of 1.25 carats, it dates from circa 1920 and is sizable. The center diamond is old mine cut, 6.7-6.2mm in diameter, with a depth of 47mm. It has a VS2 clarity and color grade of J.

The platinum mounting weights 3.65 grams and tapers from 1.53 mm wide at the shank base to 6.6mm at the top with open wire gallery below the stones. There are six baguette cut diamonds on either side of the center stone, weighing approximately .60 carat total of F-G color and VS clarity. They are finished at the ends with four trillion-cut sapphires and two trillion cut diamonds of approximately 1.5mm each. It was valued for replacement value in March 1999 at $11,730 by an AGS certified gemologist appraiser. Even though the price of platinum has gone up since then by almost four times, we are pricing it well below that.

This hand-crafted beauty must have been a one-of-a-kind and was obviously made by an accomplished jeweler. The ring will be delivered in an elegant presentation case perfect for gift giving and storage. Please email us if you have any questions. Like all my items, the ring is returnable, as long as undamaged, for any reason at your cost for return shipping and insurance only.
