Return Policy

Ruby Lane and each of its independent shops want you to be satisfied with your purchase. To ensure your satisfaction and for the protection of both the buyer and shop owner, we have a Return Policy that each Ruby Lane shop owner honors. View Return Policy

Shipping/Handling/Insurance Policy

Buyer pays shipping and insurance.

Shipping costs for Canada as noted.

Insurance is $3.00 per hundred dollars worth of merchandise.

We are located in Canada and ship with Canada Post. We use expedited and airmail exclusively.

Shipping examples for USA is as follows:
500 grams and under - $10.75 to ship (Example: salt & pepper)
500 grams to 999 grams - $15.65 (Example: 1 cup and saucer set)
1kg to 1.5 kg - $22.00 (Example: 1 Dinner plate)
1.5 kg to 2.0 kg $29.00 (Example: 1 Tea Pot)

Any buyer wishing to have us ship outside of North America must contact us first for the shipping rates.

We are happy to combine shipping for savings, so please see all of our listings and ask for the combined rate!

We are professional shippers with 10 years shipping experience. All merchandise is wrapped in bubble wrap, nested in packing peanuts and shipped in a sturdy cardboard box.

General LAYAWAY Policy:

An individualized plan will be constructed for each customer but here are the general rules for all layaway.

First payment of 20-25% due at time of purchase order. Remaining balance to be paid over the next 2-3 months in two or three subsequent payments monthly (or more often if desired). Initial payment is non-refundable if you should cancel or re-neg on your agreement.

Item purchased will be mailed out as soon as total balance has been paid.

Restocking Fee:
We may charge a 15% restocking fee on returned layaway items.

Layaway Policy

This shop offers a layaway plan for purchases. The Ruby Lane Return Policy does not apply to layaway purchases, and Layaway Plans may vary by shop. It is extremely important to read and understand this shops Layaway Plan below, and clarify any terms with the individual shop owner before you enter into a Layaway Plan agreement.
