Return Policy

Ruby Lane and each of its independent shops want you to be satisfied with your purchase. To ensure your satisfaction and for the protection of both the buyer and shop owner, we have a Return Policy that each Ruby Lane shop owner honors. View Return Policy

Shipping, Handling, Insurance Policy

Smaller items are generally figured USPS priority mail up to 3 pounds. If an item is heavier than 3 pounds it is generally shipped parcel post, or rarely FedEx. All US shipments $500 and over will require a signature confirmation. All international shipments over $500 will be shipped USPS EMS or FedEx depending on insurance coverages and value of item. Many countries I must require payment via money order, personal check drawn on US account, or wire transfer in order to ship to 1)Former Soviet countries,2) African countries, and 3) Various other countries that we are unable to fully insure via shipping carrier and/or our shipping insurance policy(I will let purchasers know as soon as I find out what country I have to ship to....most of the persons in these countries know already. We carry 3rd party insurance through shipsurance(you may check their countries list to see about coverages) along with partial standard carrier provided insurance where applicable. Buyer pays actual shipping, insurance, and packing materials cost. Buyers are responsible for all customs duties/fees. We do not charge extra for our professional packing.

Restocking Fee

All returns are for cost of item only. Shipping is paid by customers both ways unless I mis-describe an item. Remember though we sell almost exclusively pre-owned items that are hand-made and small flaws are common within the manufacturing process.....I declare all unusual visible value affecting marks or damages. I also need to know ahead of time if there is a chance an item will need to be inspected by a 3rd party as I do many consignments, and I pay those consignors usually within 10 days after receipt of item. All layaways are considered forfeit if payments are not received in timely fashion, and no payments are refunded. The items are reserved, and not for sale, or made visible to other parties that very well could or would have purchased said items.

Layaway Policy

This shop offers a layaway plan for purchases. The Ruby Lane Return Policy does not apply to layaway purchases, and Layaway Plans may vary by shop. It is extremely important to read and understand this shops Layaway Plan below, and clarify any terms with the individual shop owner before you enter into a Layaway Plan agreement.

I do combine shipping on multiple purchases. Also, if you ask for a discount you are agreeing that the terms are cash or check.....if someone wants my best price, it is a cash equivalent price.
