Shipping, Handling, Insurance Policy
I use the USPS to ship. I will ship with the UPS ONLY if the item is very large and requires a large box. UPS is a 20+ mile drive for me. (Fed –Ex is 56+) I live in a remote area. As such I am not able to ship overnight with any service. Second –Day USPS priority is as good as it gets from here. I would be delighted to combine shipping on 2 or more items! I try very hard not to over charge for shipping. If it comes out that I have I will and have refunded overages to my client. If the package is very large I do add a small charge for packing materials. I am an excellent packer and use generous amounts of bubble wrap and popcorn. . . Insurance is necessary for all purchases over $50.00 If you choose not to insure items that are less that $50 you do so at your own risk. I cannot be held responsible for items once they have left my care. Any item over $200 will require a signature confirmation.
The ONLY insurance available for international shipping is with USPS priority expedited service. It is VERY expensive but if you wish to have insurance I will be happy to do that for you. Less expensive but allowing some assurance is registered mail which requires a signature and is much less expensive.

I do not refund shipping costs and non-recoverable fees paid through Paypal, for instance.
This shop offers a layaway plan for purchases. The Ruby Lane Return Policy does not apply to layaway purchases, and Layaway Plans may vary by shop. LAYAWAY: We offer layaway for any purchase of $100 or more. Please send us an email with your thoughts regarding time and payments, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Together we can set something up that works for both of us.
We request on-time monthly payments. Shipping charges will be added to your final payment balance. All Lay - Away payments are non refundable. Layaway items may not be returned. We will make every possible effort to contact layaway customers by all means possible, including email and phone in the event of a late payment to offer a one-time 10 day grace period to make payment. It is ultimately the customer’s responsibility to make payments on time as stated above.
