SHOP SPOTLIGHT: LONE ROCK CREATIONS
I have always appreciated things of beauty - beautiful scenery, animals, a sunny warm day without bugs (all too rare around here), soothing music...
I started making beaded jewelry about 10 years ago while I was living in Hawaii. Well, that's not if you count the trinkets I used to make out of colored gymp (remember that stuff?) as a kid. I also made braided leather horse bridles. Making jewelry is very relaxing, therapeutic actually, and I never cease to be amazed at the endless variety of colors, materials, and textures that can be used to create beautiful things. More recently I have added wire-forming and chainmaille styles ~ chain maille has such elegance, yet the basic weaves are often surprisingly simple. The options are endless and the results can be incredible.
I enjoy making lampwork glass beads - there's something about melting glass with a torch, forming it into shapes and then seeing how the colors combine that is mesmerizing. All lampwork beads I use are either made by myself or are purchased from SRA (self-representing) artists who have annealed their beads in a kiln to increase the strength and durability of the glass. The quality and beauty of artisan-made lampwork far surpasses that of the cheaper imports that have flooded the market - many imports are not annealed, therefore those beads are weaker and more likely to break.
It is very rewarding when people enjoy my work enough to want to purchase and wear it, give it as a gift, and even take the time to find me at a show to see if I might have something else they like - to all of you I say THANK YOU!!!

ARTISAN SPOTLIGHT: SARIT WOLFUS
Israeli artist Sarit Wolfus divides her time between two arts: music and jewelry design.
Sarit's main occupation was music for over 20 years. She started out in the Israeli Army Band, went on to studying music at Tel Aviv University Music Academy and then spent many enjoyable years playing the trumpet in most of the professional orchestras and chamber ensembles in Israel, as well as at theater productions.
In recent years, Sarit fell in love with and became "addicted" to jewelry design and it became her main occupation. The act of creating is the source of much happiness and gives her joy 24/7.
Sarit shares her rich internal world and her basic principles and beliefs with her customers through her creations. The main ingredients that motivate her are unlimited freedom, endless imagination and her belief that you, the customer, should have the freedom of choice. That is why she offers such a wide and diverse range of jewelry designs: she believes that it will enable each and every one of you to find a shape, color, shade, material that will suit your personal taste and touch something deep inside you.
Every piece is handmade and unique, crafted in silver, gold and gemstones. Sarit's designs can be found on display in jewelry galleries and stores worldwide. Some of her pieces are "one of a kind", with the guarantee that she will never make the same one again. The rest of her designs are created in limited editions.

CROW CREEK DESIGNS
After a successful career in the corporate world, I find that I have decades of built up desire to work with my hands. I have always loved woodworking and that love plus my interest in adornment was the catalyst for my pursuit of this creative outlet. The thought that something I created could become someone's favorite piece of jewelry, or the honor that is conveyed to me when a person purchases one of my items as a present for someone else is strong reinforcement for me.
Some of my corporate experiences also aid me in my pursuit. One of them is the desire to continually improve my product, to innovate and to provide exceptional value to my buyers.
I have also discovered worlds that I knew nothing about including stone, Asian antiquities, European glass items and more. This has allowed me to continue to learn and to expand the avenues I can use to express my creativity towards providing unusual and interesting adornment at a reasonable price.
