Ruby Lane Launches Amazon Payments

We're pleased to announce that Ruby Lane has added Amazon Payments to its choice of payment options for buyers. Now shop owners can choose to offer it along with many other payment options already accepted. Amazon Payments is a service that lets customers pay for goods or services with the payment methods in their Amazon.com account. To make a payment, buyers can use a credit card, bank account, or Amazon Payments Account balance.

Safe, Secure Payment Method
Amazon has spent over a decade developing, testing, and operating a robust payments infrastructure to support millions of transactions. Amazon Payments allows you to benefit from these highly reliable, scalable, and safe systems. Amazon leverages Amazon’s proven fraud detection technology to provide both shops and customers the same trusted payment experience available on Amazon.com.

The Amazon A-to-z Guarantee
The Amazon A-to-z Guarantee, the same buyer protection plan available on Amazon, protects purchases made with Amazon Payments. The condition of the item you buy and its timely delivery are guaranteed under the Amazon A-to-z Guarantee.

Amazon Payments is now available for U.S.-based shops only, however more locations will likely be added in the near future. For shops who accept it, Amazon Payments deposits all payments into your Amazon Payments Business Account immediately after the transaction is processed.

We're pleased to launch this additional payment option on Ruby Lane. Soon you'll see many shops offering it as a payment option. We hope you'll stop by soon!

Time Is Running Out: Open A Ruby Lane Shop - $75 Set-Up Fee Waived

Ruby Lane has launched a special promotion: Open a shop and the $75 set-up fee is waived. But time is running out. This is a reminder that this special limited time promotion is on now, through October 31, 2012.

Why Open A Shop?
You'll enjoy the immediate benefit of Ruby Lane's considerable, highly targeted visitor traffic. Visitors to Ruby Lane are specifically looking for antiques and art, vintage collectibles and jewelry items, making us a one-stop-shopping community. Your items rank highly in search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing since they are part of the Ruby Lane community, plus they are automatically placed in Google Shopping and The Find.

New Tools and Features
We are always adding new features to the site. There is a new look to our Search pages, the ability to Skype with customers, the ability to accept Amazon Payments, and our mobile site has just been launched. As always, we have a robust social community which includes Pinterest, Facebook and Google+. Our occasional Ruby Red Tag 50% Off Sale brings additional buzz and excitement before, during and after each Sale.

Hands-On Mentoring
Our free Shop Mentoring Program offers personalized, optional guidance to new shops. Our Roving Mentors cruise the site on an ongoing basis, offering optional tips and guidance to sellers who would like help improving their shop. Our Ruby Lane shop Mentors are veteran shop owners who are/have been Ruby Lane shops themselves. They understand what it takes to make an online shop successful, and what pitfalls to avoid - especially if you're new to the process.

We're a Juried site
We take pride in the products we offer, so we vet and jury every seller on the site. We want to give our shoppers the best possible online experience for vintage. Try finding that anywhere else online! We also have tools in place to make sure sellers follow our guidelines for selling on Ruby Lane.

We've Even Won Awards
We were voted the top site to sell on in the 2010 ECommerce Bytes Sellers Choice Awards; voted third place in 2011, and second place (just behind Amazon.com) in 2012 (voted on by over 7,500 online sellers). The same 2012 survey awarded us first place in both customer service and communication.

Join Us
It is really that simple - request to open a shop by October 31, 2012 and you won't be charged the usual $75 Set-Up Fee. Since we are a juried site, your shop must meet our guidelines and be approved by our review staff.

With more than 2,400 shops and 460,000 items, we invite you to tour Ruby Lane, and see why so many call it home, and a great place to shop for, and sell Vintage.

Here's what some of our current shop owners say they like about selling on Ruby Lane:

“I am a very satisfied loyal Ruby Lane shop owner. I brag about Ruby Lane being by far the best on-line antiques shopping site to all of my show customers and friends. I have referred many people to Ruby Lane to open their own shops.”

“I just wanted to tell you how thrilled I am to be on Ruby Lane. I already have repeat buyers. I can't believe it has taken me so long to make the move from **** .... PLEASE PLEASE do not change what you are doing and I will keep on doing what I am doing. Thank you!!!!!!”

“One of the reasons I have stayed with Ruby Lane since nearly the beginning is that I feel like people in this organization care about my involvement, and actually care about me personally, that I succeed with this venture. I am more proud than ever to be part of such a group, that clearly cares about all of the players.“

“I've been selling on Ruby Lane for 1 year. I'm extremely pleased with your layout, forums, the cost of selling & the services you provide. Started selling on ebay a long time ago - like most say it was not satisfying. I'm so glad I found you! Your site is fair & ethical, geared toward what we like to sell & informative. My sales have been great & get better all the time!”

“Just want to say I am very happy to have a shop on Ruby Lane. It's been almost 3 years and while I looked at the free sites while deciding where to open a shop, I chose Ruby Lane and am glad I did. “
